Better Outdoor Products says its 32-inch hydro, the Quickie 32, is perfect for suburban yards. It's compact, lightweight and easy to maneuver through gates and tight spots. Like all of Better's Quick products, this 32-inch version features a deep-tunnel deck, reinforcing deck strut rods, a hydrostatic drive system, greaseable spindles and comfortable hand controls. It's powered by either a Briggs or Kawasaki twin-cylinder engine, and comes with a one-year commercial warranty. Exmark says its Metro 26 allows landscape professionals to increase their productivity up to 25%. The Metro 26 has a standard 26-inch deck (5 inches wider than a traditional walk-behind mower), and it also comes with a bigger bag, a bigger gas tank and a three-speed drive system with speeds from 2-4.1 mph.

Exmark has received 15 reports of fires caused when these mowers backfired and ignited nearby fuel vapors. At least one serious burn injury was reported, and two other users reported minor burns. Property damage has varied from minor damage to the machine itself to several thousand dollars damage to other mowing equipment stored nearby. The recall includes Exmark-brand Lazer Z HP series riding mowers, which are red. They are equipped with 17 to 23 horsepower engines and have mowing decks from 44 to 52 inches. The mowers have independently controlled rear-drive wheels, front casters, and a centrally mounted mowing deck. The brand and series names (Exmark Lazer Z HP) appear on the front of the mower. Blade-brake controls enable the operator to disengage blades without shutting down the engine. These features enable the Metro 26 to not only get the job done right, but get it done faster.
